Library

This specialized library has records of archival old and rare books, Assembly proceedings, Census reports, Research Journals, Gazettes, and news papers, and old books on law. Records are open for research and reference to bonafide Research Scholars between 10.30 am and 4.30 pm on all working days. Permission is granted to Scholars for a period of 6 months for reference on payment of Rs.100/-. The library allows photocopying facilities under certain rules. Out of 10034 books in the library, 4356 books are oldest Malayalam books.

The Central Archives, Trivandrum has the largest collection of Palm leaf records. It consists of more than 11000 churunas.
